We (class 4c and class 4d) stayed for eight days in England, to be exact in Brighton-Hove. Our journey started on Tuesday, the 17th of May 2016 and ended a week later, Tuesday, 24th of May 2016.
Overall the weather was really nice, however it only rained a half-day-
Brighton is a town on the south coast with a population of 273, 400, so we went numerous times to the beach. The water of the sea wasn’t cold for the season.
At first we flew from Vienna to Gatwick (southern than London), then we drove by coach to our school and there our host-families picked us up.
On every weekday we’d to go to school and in the afternoon we always had a tour to a special place.
From an Austrian perspective is London a massive metropolis, for example the 14th of Vienna (residents). There are many splendid sights, like the „Tower Bridge“, the „Elizabeth Tower“, famous for the „Big Ben“…
In contrast to London is Brighton a small town, but I think it’s more beautiful than London. Famous to Brighton is the „Brighton Pier“ and the two universities.
A prejudice is that British people can’t cook very well but our host-families were very good cooks.
In the middle of Eastbourne and Brighton are the „Seven Sisters“ which are cliffs along the beach. There is a wonderful countryside.
To sum up, it was really worth going to England with your class mates, because it was a unique experience and we got the chance to improve our English.
